In the second semester of the 2019/20 academic year, the Faculty of Music starts instrumental and vocal courses in popular music genres for candidates with previous musical experience.
Participants of the course have the opportunity to get private lessons (1 hour/week) and band practice (2 hours/week).
During these lessons, they can obtain further knowledge about:
- the usage of typical vocal techniques and instruments in popular music genres
- the electronics connected to the instruments
- technical and musical requirements of working in a band
- technical and musical requirements of live performances.
With completing this optional course students get 3 credits. The tuition fee is 10 000 HUF/month for students of the University of Debrecen and 20 000 HUF/month for those who are not student of the institute.

The application period is followed by an entrance exam.
